Agri-Food Tech Expo Asia

Wells Plastics Limited is delighted to announce that it will exhibit at the 2 nd Agri-Food Tech Expo Asia (AFTEA) on the 31 st of October until the 2 nd of November, which will be held at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre, Hall A & B, Bayfront Avenue, Singapore ( AFTEA 2023 ) Wells will be at Stand 14 as part of the Innovate UK Edge Pavilion.
This event provides an excellent platform to exhibit the latest technology, trends and thinking on food, food production, the materials used and innovations needed to deliver more sustainable agri-food production and improve farming practices and increased productivity.
Wells products and services are used to enhance and modify existing ‘off the shelf’ polymer materials to provide enhanced unique tailored performances delivered through proprietary and bespoke additive masterbatches and polymer compounds. These materials are developed for the polymer processing industry and supplied to manufacturers of film, fibre and injection moulding articles used in the agri-food tech sector.
Wells is the UK’s largest specialist additive masterbatch and compound manufacturer, established in 1984, based in Stone, Staffordshire.
Wells will present its extensive experience in providing polymer solutions to enhance material stability, lifespan and processability, lightweighting and sustainability technologies such as blowing agents, stabilisers and desiccants for increasing recycled content into the agri-food tech marketplace.
With decades of experience in the agri-food tech arena from UV stabilisation packages for greenhouse films, through to oxo-biodegradable, biodegradable and compostable polymer materials supplied to those companies making agricultural mulching films, food packaging and enhancing shelf life, through to novel environmentally friendly forestry products.
Recent developments from Wells have also found application in the high-tech vertical farming world, with Wells supporting sophisticated pheromone delivery systems based on bespoke formulated biopolymer substrates, as part of a low impact pest control strategy.

Wells was selected along with a handful of UK based companies with a wide range of expertise and disciplines within the sector to participate in the GBIP and to benefit from the support available in order to exhibit at this event.
