OXO-BIODEGRADABLE PLASTICS FEDERATION (OBPF), an industry wide, global collaboration group to promote the appropriate use of oxo-biodegradable products through participation in the development of standards, regulations, material guides and positive community interaction.

Wells Plastics has had the privilege of lending the knowledge and experience of Bactiglas product manager Julie Simmons to the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics network (S.T.E.M).

Wells Plastics Limited has read the recently posted study from the Michigan State University under the title “Evaluation of Biodegradation-Promoting Additives for Plastics” and say that there are factual inaccuracies, invalid test results and overall that it is completely flawed.

Wells Plastics and Excel International jointly participated in the 12th Arab International Plastics and Rubber Trade Show & Conference held at Dubai International Conference & Exhibition Centre Dubai, UAE from 10 – 13 January 2015.

We find it surprising that some people are still proposing yet more studies to prove oxo-biodegradability. Oxo-biodegradable plastics are polymers designed to convert automatically into biodegradable materials at the end of their useful life.
